「和歌山は何もないで～」。それが和歌山の人の口癖です。

でも本当にそうでしょうか。
きれいな海、山、豊かな川、そして先人たちが切り開いて守ってきた畑や田んぼ。そこに育つ季節の果物と野菜。
自然の恵みがあまりにも豊かなこの土地では、それがもう当たり前なのです。

でもその当たり前は、これからもずっと続いていくのか・・・
農業の担い手は、年々減っています。
山からイノシシ、シカ、サルなどが下りてきて、田畑を荒らしています。
”異常気象” が、毎年のように発生するようになってきました。
外国産の食材が、たくさん入ってくるという話も聞こえてきます。

これからの「農」は、私たちの「食」は、どうなっていくんだろう。
難しいことはわからないけど、それでもこれからを生きていく私たちは、これからのスタイルを考えていくべきだと思いました。

だからまずは、「こだわって育てられた野菜、果物を大事にしていく」、「地元の人に、地元の良いものを知ってもらう」。
くくたちは、そんなところからはじめてみようと思います。

Is it true?
Beautiful sea, mountains, rivers and fields that have been cultivated and preserved by our ancestors. Most of all, delicious fruits and vegetables that are grown there.
People in Wakayama take these gifts from Mother Nature for granted.
However, I am wondering if these beautiful gifts will keep coming.
The number of farmers has been decreasing.
Wild boar, deer and monkeys come down from the mountains and destroy the fields.
“Abnormal weather” occurs every year. We hear that more and more food from overseas is being imported.
What’s going on with our future agriculture and our own foods?
I don’t know the answers, but our generation should think about the future for ourselves.
We should take good care of well-tended vegetables and fruits, and help local people notice how wonderful our local foods are.
Kukutachi is at the crossroads.
I hope this little step leads to something good.
